Your Opportunity

BDO Digital is currently seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Production Senior Consultant or Manager to join our growing Dynamics 365 F&O Practice, with the ability to work from anywhere in Canada in a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in Production Control / Manufacturing, leading the design and delivery of manufacturing solutions within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You will play a key role in helping clients transform their production operations through modern ERP capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing deep functional expertise in Production Control, Manufacturing, and Shop Floor processes

  • Lead Production workstreams on full-cycle D365 F&O implementations, including:

    • Discrete manufacturing

    • Process manufacturing (as applicable)

    • Lean manufacturing concepts (Kanban, pull-based production)

  • Analyze client manufacturing operations, including:

    • Bills of Materials (BOM)

    • Routing and resource capacity

    • Production scheduling (operations and job scheduling)

    • Material consumption and costing

  • Design and configure D365 F&O solutions across:

    • Production orders and lifecycle management

    • Master planning integration with production

    • Capacity planning and shop floor control

    • Production costing and variance analysis

  • Provide leadership on projects involving multiple supply chain streams, mentoring junior consultants and ensuring quality delivery

  • Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance visibility

  • Support integration points between Production and:

    • Inventory and Warehouse Management

    • Procurement and sourcing

    • Sales and demand planning

    • Finance and cost accounting

  • Facilitate workshops, document requirements, and lead solution design sessions

  • Deliver end-user training and support user adoption of production processes in D365

  • Contribute to proposal development, estimations, and practice growth initiatives

Your experience and education

  • 5+ years of Dynamics 365 F&O / AX consulting experience, with strong specialization in Production Control / Manufacturing

  • Proven experience delivering full-cycle D365 F&O implementations with a focus on production

  • Deep functional knowledge of:

    • Production orders and lifecycle management

    • BOM and routing structures

    • Capacity planning and scheduling

    • Shop floor execution and reporting

    • Production costing (standard and actual)

  • Experience with complex manufacturing environments (e.g., multi-site, make-to-order, make-to-stock, engineer-to-order)

  • Understanding of integrated supply chain processes, particularly:

    • Inventory management

    • Master planning

    • Warehouse management

  • Experience with Quality Management, including the use of event triggered Quality Orders at Production Order Operations, test parameters, and instruments with inventory blocking and nonconformance processes

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or MES integrations is an asset

  • Exposure to other functional areas such as Finance, Asset Management, or Project Operations is considered an asset

  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications in relevant disciplines are preferred

  • Strong skills in:

    • Business process analysis and redesign

    • Requirements gathering and documentation

    • Stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation

  • Self-motivated, articulate, and capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels

The expected range of compensation for this role is $84,000-$165,000 annually.
