Job description

Summary:ย 

The primary role of the Production Manager is to ensure a consistent and efficient manufacturing process through directing the activities of production equipment and employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead by example and enforce safety guidelines and other company standards.
  • Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are adhered to by production employees.ย 
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of product blends and packaging according to internal and customer specifications and standards.ย 
  • Meet daily production targets while operating within budget.
  • Work closely with the Quality Systems Manager to comply with regulatory and 3rd party auditing agencies.ย 
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to 5S, product yield, waste, process improvement, labor, other production metrics.
  • Interview, train, and monitor performance of production employees and provide feedback, coaching, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.ย 
  • Comply with employment law and human resources policies.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • 3-4 yearsโ€™ experience as a Production Supervisor or Manager in a food & beverage facility
  • Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to arrive early or stay late as required to meet deadlines
  • Organizational and leadership abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • High school diploma; degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field a plus
