Production / Manufacturing Supervisor Swing Shift

Location: New Paltz, NY
Pay:
Annual Salary of $72,000 to $86,000 depending on experience
Schedule: 
Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Available Shifts:
The Swing Shift Supervisor will work a shift that overlaps our 1st Shift 7am to 3:30pm and 2nd Shift 3:30pm to 12am

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Swing Shift team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and meeting production goals. The Supervisor will also partner closely with the Manager of Operational Excellence to improve efficiency and implement Lean manufacturing practices.


What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 30+ production employees.
  • Establish and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all employees follow safety policies.
  • Manage daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
  • Monitor production metrics including efficiency, downtime, waste, and quality.
  • Partner with Operational Excellence on Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Train employees and address attendance, performance, and safety issues.
  • Work with Customer Service, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Communicate shift priorities and results to management and other shifts.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

A hands-on manufacturing leader who can run a successful shift while helping us continuously improve how we work. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading people, using data to solve problems, and finding ways to make our processes safer, more efficient, and more productive.

  • 3+ years of experience leading a manufacturing team.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proven experience coaching and developing employees.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of production efficiency, waste reduction, and performance metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or business education preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Corrugated or packaging manufacturing experience is preferred.
