Production Associate - Full-Time

Days/Hours Required: Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

True to its heritage though, the company has remained singularly focus on its curated collection of high-style products and unique lighting designs, many of which are produced in-house by the company’s own staff of highly trained artisans.


Job Summary

Productions Associates are responsible for the preparation and completion of all unfinished goods that come into the Distribution Center. This may require the use of basic power tools or heavy equipment to drill glass, proper wiring procedures and sockets, and add all other finishing touches to lighting fixtures sold in Shades of Light retail stores and online.


Job Requirements/Expectations:

  • Cut and drill glass based on required dimensions and specifications
  • Consult blueprints and schematics prior to any work for accuracy
  • Assemble components or parts by hand or with the use of equipment
  • Add all finishing touches to lighting and fixtures including but not limited to:
    • Painting
    • Adding Sockets
    • Adding Wires
  • Maintain clean and orderly workspace
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management


Qualifications:

  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
  • 1-2 Years’ experience in product assembly or other skilled labor preferred.
  • Must be able to use basic power tools other essential measurements tools
  • Must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
  • The ability to read plans, replicate designs, and repeat production/assembly techniques on a consistent basis
  • Must have the ability adapt to and employ production/assembly techniques as instructed during training
  • Attention to Detail
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred
