Production Manager
Position Summary
The Production Manager oversees plant production operations, including blending, filling, shipping/receiving, raw material handling, inventory control, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, leading production teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily production activities, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor production performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company standards.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and facility support activities.
  • Develop employees through training, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Support automation, process improvement, and plant technology initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing production teams.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and production equipment.
  • Experience with ERP systems, production reporting, and inventory management.
