Job description

SUMMARY:  As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, this position is part of a Product Line Management team responsible for assisting with the successful management of product lines. Product line management includes developing manufacturing (OEM) partner business relationships, product line plans, market analysis, and annual budgets. The Product Line team creates and supports strategic planning efforts, solutions for product line development and implementation of key initiatives, as well as ensuring alignment to contract compliance in order to maximize profitability while meeting market demand and OEM requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet the internal plan for revenue and profit of assigned Product Lines.
  • Actively expedite late deliveries from manufacturing partners of assigned Product Lines.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze, and take strategic actions in line with company direction.
  • Develop relationships with manufacturing partners of assigned Product Lines.
  • Identify, assess, and develop growth opportunities directly/indirectly associated with assigned Product Lines.
  • Review, understand, and comply with contractual obligations and reporting for assigned Product Lines.
  • Gain market intelligence on PLs, identify key threats and develop/execute a strategic plan.
  • Develop PL forecasts and ensure internal ordering strategy maximizes profits while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Develop and execute aging inventory strategic plan specific to assigned PLs in accordance with company policy to maintain inventory health.
  • Communicate PL metrics and strategy to internal/external stakeholders at business review meetings or as needed.
  • Produce, analyze and distribute OEM and customer reporting’s for assigned PLs.
  • Other duties assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR
  • or an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with managing multiple priorities
  • Remain calm and productive under pressure, customer-focused and able to foster productive relationships.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives
  • Experience in aerospace related products
  • Fluent in English

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree
  • 8+ years of product management work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Poerba
  • Working knowledge of Component Control Quantum
