Job description

Production Support

The Production Support position accurately performs assigned daily duties based on work instructions including disassembly, assembly and testing of remanufactured products. Responsible for the preparation and care of assigned tools and equipment used during assigned tasks. Positively collaborates with facility co-workers for production line efficiency to achieve daily and monthly goals.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Production Line Activities - 60%

  • Perform assigned production duties in an accurate and timely manner based on work instructions. Duties include:
    • Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly and testing of remanufactured products
    • Prepare tools, equipment, and workstation.
    • Maintain cleanliness of workstation.
  • Continuously review and improve quality and production procedures and processes for productivity and efficiency

Product Quality - 20%

  • Properly use and maintain micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment to check for product conformity.

Inventory Quality - 20%

  • Maintain accountability of inventory in assigned workstation.
  • Properly issue parts as necessary in the remanufacturing process.

Qualifications and Other Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Relevant work experience to include any combination of:
    • Work experience in a warehouse environment.
    • Direct production line work experience.
    • Inventory control experience.

Preferred but not required:

  • Mechanical background or manufacturing experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn and effectively utilize other software applications used within the Company.
  • Well-balanced interpersonal skills; Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, employees, customers, and outside vendors; Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
