ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs production departments and regulates and coordinates functions of office and shop.
Introduces efficient production line methods and initiates and directs procedures to increase company output.
Supervises and trains production employees for growth and development.
Orders small, perishable tools.
Work with Engineering to analyze operations and setup for new jobs.
Prioritizes work schedules.
Schedules service orders, analyzes service parts.
Distributes work orders for machinery and manning requirements.
Directs department to be compliant with all customer delivery and quality requirements.
Directs production operations to be compliant with all FMS and division quality operating system requirements.
Communicate goals for productivity, and scrap, rework and accident reduction.
Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two year technical degree level of knowledge with 5 years' experience in fabricated metals manufacturing environment with 2 years in a leadership capacity preferred. Working knowledge of blueprint reading, SPC, employee relations, lean manufacturing principal's, management classes and other related training a plus. Tier One Automotive Supplier Manufacturing experience is preferred.
