Job Summary
The Downstack is responsible for assigned QA tasks and moving products "off- of" the production line conveyors: polymer concrete boxes, covers, and vaults, and down stacking onto skids.
Job Responsibilities
  • Follow All Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies and Guidelines
  • Identify casting defects in: box, large box, & covers
  • Properly label non-conformances with HOLD tags
  • Properly log non-conformances in QA HOLD log
  • Communicate quality concerns with casting line team leads & supervisors
  • Communicate quality concerns with casters
  • Lead the team in STOP/CALL/WAIT when scrap is identified
  • Light rework on the line
  • Assist production with training of new hires
  • Help identify areas of needed additional training
  • Maintain 5S in assigned areas
  • Help QA Inspectors with raw material testing
  • Participate in LEAN/CI initiatives
  • Identify safety hazards in the down stacking area
  • Adhere to proper stacking standards
  • Control of semi-automatic conveyor system &"Pac-man"

Job Requirements
  • High School or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Trained to all applicable training matrix standards in support of position
  • Strong attention to details
  • Basic math skills
  • Good Time Management
  • Good Communicator
  • Must be able to stand for long durations, up to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously
  • Must be able to work in a hot and cold environments
