Job Overview:

Pay Range $25hr - $28.57hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Associate degree (AA/AAS) or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in lab technician roles, hardware validation, or server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with server hardware platforms and system components.
  • Familiarity with DDR memory (DIMMs) and system configurations.
  • Experience with system setup, OS installation (Linux/Windows), and basic troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of Python scripting or automation tools.
  • Understanding of hardware debugging concepts and log analysis.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain server platforms in the lab environment.
  • Build, configure, and validate DDR DIMM configurations across server systems.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, system setup, and component installation (CPU, memory, storage).
  • Debug and troubleshoot server hardware issues; analyze logs and identify root causes.
  • Work with power distribution units (PDUs) for system power control and monitoring.
  • Maintain lab inventory, including systems, DIMMs, CPUs, cables, and equipment tracking.
  • Perform system rework, upgrades, and component swaps as required.
  • Support lab operations, ensuring systems are operational and available for testing.
  • Use basic Python scripting and Linux tools to assist in validation and automation tasks.
  • Leverage AI chatbot tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) for log analysis, scripting assistance, and documentation.
  • Document configurations, test results, and debug findings clearly.
  • Coordinate with engineers and report system status, issues, and risks.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with DDR4/DDR5 memory and server platform validation.
  • Familiarity with BIOS flashing and firmware update tools.
  • Experience working with PDUs and lab power management setups.
  • Ability to read basic schematics and identify components/signals.
