Description:

The PFEP Production Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting Materials/Production Control team by performing various administrative activities and assigned tasks. Coordinates, supports, and implements the PFEP (Plan For Every Part) activity, engineering changes, service parts planning, and kanban/supermarket systems.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


· Ensure kanban and supermarket systems are functioning properly and providing timely replenishment of necessary materials in appropriate quantity by executing, monitoring, auditing, updating, and improving the relevant processes.

· Maintain production control system data in ERP and databases.

· Provide scheduling assistance and oversight for service parts items to ensure cross-functional alignment and execution in a timely manner to support on time delivery. May include MRP, work order, and scheduling for service parts.

· Execute and distribute production reports daily.

· Provide overall support for implementation of production changes related to ECN’s, product launches or transfers, or continuous improvement activities.

· Monitor pending items to ensure changes are implemented in a timely manner that allows consumption of inventory while also implementing changes at the appropriate time to realize benefits as soon as possible while minimizing stranded inventory.

· Serve as an overall support resource for the Materials team by performing administrative activities, auditing processes, and completing assigned tasks.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, with emphasis on 5S, material presentation and storage, transactional process improvement, and material replenishment systems and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:


· Requires good people skills, the ability to act with a sense of urgency and good problem-solving skills. Must be proactive, show initiative and be a good team player.

· Must be able to multi-task and interface with multiple organization levels and departments.

· Must be detail oriented.

· Knowledge of established inventory control and material planning techniques required.

· Knowledge in ERP software and systems required, including an understanding of MRP preferred.

· Intermediate skills in MS Excel.

· Experience in Kanban, Lean, PFEP preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all management levels.

· Computer literacy and computer operational proficiency; prefer to have standard material requirements planning process, bills of material (BOM) structure, and/or blueprint/specification reading skills.


Required Qualifications:


· Associate’s degree from a college or university; or three years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to use MS Excel and Access software efficiently and experience with company inventory control system software.

· Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
