Job Description
Support inventory, material handling, and logistics operations to ensure the timely flow of materials required for production. Responsible for inventory control, kitting, receiving, shipping, material transactions, and coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain material availability and inventory schedules to support production requirements.
- Optimize inventory storage systems and material flow processes.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Production Control to resolve material-related issues.
- Research kit shortages, expedite missing materials, and support kit integration activities.
- Manage part categorization, bin sizing, and storage locations.
- Ensure inventory traceability and compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Receive, transact, and track incoming materials within the ERP system.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to validate quantities, revisions, locations, and transfers.
- Pack and ship orders using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
- Expedite materials, parts, and assemblies in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
- Identify inventory shortages and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S activities.
- Utilize software tools to manage projects, track metrics, and achieve operational goals.
- Analyze material flow processes to improve efficiency and reduce delivery lead times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory operations within an ERP system (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to operate forklifts and inventory-related equipment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with kitting and material staging processes.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and inventory operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience liaising between manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain functions.
