Job description

Production Manager
Our Round Rock, TX site is looking for a Production Manager to join our growing business!
As Production Manager, you will direct and supervise all production personnel focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Coordinating directly with Production Control on schedule issues, Manufacturing Engineering on technical issues, and Quality Assurance on quality issues to meet the cost, quality, and delivery objectives of the Production Department; you will bring exemplary communication skills.
You will bring a team mindset that is passionate about improvement and supporting the Organization in pursuit of exceeding customer expectations. With a strong focus on performance excellence you will be passionate about analyzing and evaluating to ensure continued strong performance levels across all areas.

Salary Information: $100,000 - $135,000 annually, plus bonus

Your Challenge:
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors in determining labor and equipment needs vs availability and adjust as needed to meet plan demands
  • Partner with Quality team in implementing and monitoring production processes and addressing quality issues
  • Enforce safety and quality programs within production
  • Monitor production cost identifying opportunities for cost reduction while improving production performance
  • Direct the fabrication of prototypes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in support of Manufacturing Engineer
  • Implement preventive maintenance and safety programs in support of the Facilities Manager
  • Lead production organization in providing training and setting expectations to meet production goals
  • Review and analyze production performance data to identify constraints and/or inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide regular updates on production performance identifying critical areas of focus with action plans for improvement to senior management
  • Monitor performance, prepare performance reviews, coaching / training and handle disciplinary issues

What You Bring:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree with a preference for industrial engineering or business administration
  • 5 years' of Supervisory experience within an engineering and manufacturing business
  • Lives the "continuous improvement" philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and concepts
  • Experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Effective skills both in verbal and written communication that are concise, easily understood, and provide clarity
  • Ability to develop, plan, and execute production projects within project milestone timelines
  • Strong Experience in coaching, mentoring and motivating team members
  • Decision making skills with a results driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Experience using MS Office and ERP software
  • Physical requirements may include lifting up to 50 pounds
