Job description

ProductionControlplays a critical role in ensuring the manufacturing floor operates efficiently by generating work orders, maintaining schedules, monitoring performance metrics, and facilitating communication across departments. This individual will work closely withproduction, engineering, and procurement teams to support daily operations and drive improvements in workflow and output.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Generate customer equipment 'Repair' work orders from our Electronic Inspection Form using our Expert Quotation System or quote templates.
  • Create stock work orders as directed by management or recommended by the MRP system.
  • Print, distribute, and update work orders across theproductionfloor.
  • Review work orders to verify correct labor application and material issuance.
  • Identify materials to expedite forproduction.
  • Update operation standards based on actual performance data.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report onproduction-related metrics, including:
    • On-time shipping performance
    • Operational performance against standards
    • Employee performance against standards
    • Direct/Indirect labor percentages
    • Job cost vs. estimates/standards
    • Labor shortages and bottlenecks
  • Maintenance and generation of new electronic inspection forms.
  • Maintenance of Expert Quotation System
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Work Environment:

  • This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring frequent interaction with floor supervisors andproductionstaff.
