Job description


The BSA Production Control Assistant Manager is responsible for comprehensive plant control, including production planning, production performance analysis, and BOM/EO control.

The BSA Production Control Assistant Manager will ensure that the manufacturing process is efficient and cost-effective and delivers high-quality products on time. The BSA Production Control Assistant Manager will be key in coordinating with other departments and managing resources.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

Planning and Performance Analysis

  • Initial point of contact for Customer (Hyundai, Kia) production plan
  • Monitor Hyundai, Kia production plan changes and irregular orders and inform the related departments (Schedule, UPH, Shift plan, Volume, Working hours, and CKD / Pilot car order)
  • Production plan adjustment with Hyundai, Kia as needed (in case of logistics, production, or quality trouble)
  • Maintain Work order Process and production information in MES (Line assembly code, Broadcast data, Foolproof barcode key data, Working time pattern)
  • Collect and maintain production index in MES, ERP, or manual (Actual vs. planned, Working time, Hour Per Unit, Downtime, OEM Line stop, Production CUM, Inefficient expense, Scrap cost, Line assignment efficiency, Overtime)
  • Monthly/Weekly/Daily production report (Production index analysis and improvement)
  • Maintain production index system data accuracy (System vs. Actual)
  • Make irregular plant comprehensive report
  • Maintain Plant information and index
  • Korea headquarters response
  • Support/perform special projects as necessary

BOM/EO Control

  • The initial point of contact for Customer (Hyundai, Kia) Engineering Change includes BOM.
  • SAP Material Master management - create part numbers and maintain info (MRP view, Work center, Routing, Production version, Standard cost, Module no)
  • Monitor incoming EDI for brand-new parts daily.
  • Maintain SAP PP Module process and implementation (LTP, MRP, PIR, Backlog, Production result adjustment complete/component)
  • Maintain production BOM in SAP/MES (Part no, Material information, Effective Point Information)
  • Material consumption tracking for material closing and inventory accuracy (weekly, Monthly)
  • Maintain and distribute PART LIST MASTER to all department
  • Able to track material history for obsolescence or gain/loss items
  • Follow up with IT team for SAP system improvement in user's aspect
  • Coordinate EO implementation with all plant departments
  • Manage EO part changes (EC alert, 1st sequence recording, EC communications internal/external)
  • EO info management (participate in internal/external EC meetings, track upcoming EP)
  • Maintain EO systems (G-MDM, SAP)

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in the Just in Sequence production control field in the Automotive industry (Production Planning, BOM, and Engineering Order change control)
  • Working experience with Hyundai / Kia / MOBIS
  • Experienced in automotive assembly/manufacturing

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Detailed knowledge of Just in Sequence processes and systems in the Automotive industry
  • SAP (PP/MM/SD module) and MES experience
  • Analytic skills in engineering drawing
  • Korean language skills to communicate with Korean Headquarters
  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills across the plant
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
