Job description

About the Role:

The Mission Control team is responsible for maintaining the highest safety standards across our fleet, coordinating autonomous vehicle missions, and providing real-time technical troubleshooting. As a Mission Control Specialist, you will serve as the critical point of contact for fleet operations, ensuring all technical and safety protocols are executed with precision to support our mission-critical goals.

Shift & Schedule:

  • 4 days on, 3 days off (10 hour shifts) 
  • Weekend coverage 

This position is located in Pittsburgh and New Stanton, PA 100% in office.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor real-time fleet safety alerts and environmental conditions to execute immediate incident response protocols with precision.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of partner shipments and internal autonomous vehicle testing missions to ensure seamless operational flow.
  • Troubleshoot mission-critical technical issues remotely, serving as the primary escalation point for complex fleet challenges.
  • Communicate daily with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Service Operations, and Product to resolve issues and support product improvements. 
  • Maintain comprehensive operational records and documentation to ensure strict compliance with safety and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize advanced software and diagnostic tools to monitor, optimize, and resolve unexpected technical hurdles.
  • Represent the company professionally while managing relationships with third-party partners and providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate 4 year education and/or industry experience 
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
