Job description

We are looking for talented people to join the team! The expediter/food runner is responsible for executing a high level of consistent plates according to standards, maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, and must be able to exhibit impeccable food presentation and exceed guest expectations.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is of the highest quality, properly plated, and made to accommodate any special requests before delivering to tables
  • Set up stations and collect all necessary items to prepare menu for service
  • Prepare a variety of foods including garnish, vegetable and cold food items
  • Cover, date and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
  • Inform chef in advance of likely shortages
  • Ensure the correct temperature of food
  • Use food preparation tools in accordance with manufactures instructions
  • Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Maintain an organized and sanitized work area at all times
  • Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately
  • Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • Assist staff with other duties as assigned by kitchen manager
  • Cleans kitchen before and after shift
  • Report any unforeseen circumstances, maintenance needs or faulty equipment to the manager
  • Perform all reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Managers
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with others and create a fun, positive, and creative work environment
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and two years' experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to read, write, convert measurements and follow a recipe
  • ServSafe certified preferred
