Job description

REPORTS TO: Art Manager

HOURS: Monday – Friday 9AM – 6PM

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

WORK FROM HOME STATUS: Eligible

After a period of in-person training and time working onsite with your team, this role has the option to work remotely (in WI only at this time). In general, this timeframe tends to be 6-12 months; may be dependent on training progress. Note that there will be situations when someone may choose or be asked to return onsite which would be coordinated and scheduled in advance.

As a graphic artist you will create electronic images suitable for imprinting on promotional products. You’ll be working closely with our customer service department to ensure the images meet the expectations of our customers and vendor requirements. You may also create artwork as needed by other departments.

Here’s what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.
  • Clean-up of faxed and bitmapped logos or copy from customers.
  • Typesetting and providing proofs for customers’ orders.
  • Create various line illustrations from photos and other items.
  • Convert various file types into images usable in the creation of vector-based art.
  • Alter existing images/layouts so they are able to be imprinted on a variety of promotional products.
  • Maintain a current understanding of trends and updates in your role.
  • Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • Minimum two-year degree in Graphic Arts or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Must be proficient in Illustrator or CorelDraw, Photoshop, and keep up with the latest upgrades.
  • Knowledge of computer-generated, production art related skills and terminology.
  • Knowledge of imprinting methods and experience in the promotional products industry a plus.
