This position is part of the global cybersecurity organization with primary responsibilityinAllegion's products and services. The successful candidate for this position will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product development teams to ensure a high standard of quality, security, and data privacy across the fullsystemlifecycle. TheSeniorProductSecurity Engineer will have a strong ownership stake to ensure Allegion's systems are reliable, scalable, high-performing, economical, and secure. The position reports to the Director of Global ProductCybersecurity.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as security point of contact for software, firmware,andphysicalproduct development teams across theenterpriseincluding matters related to data privacy, integrity, authorization, device, and application security.

  • Use yourin-depthknowledge of the secure development processesto help development teams build,verify, andmaintainsecure products.

  • Aid in security architecture design offirmwareto ensure sufficient security in communication, authorization, authentication, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Contributetosecurity requirements that guide product development toward the achievement of applicable security standards and certifications.

  • Investigateemerging security threats,determiningapplicability toAllegion productsand proactivelyworkmitigationswith affected teams.

  • Participate in solution assessments across the solution lifecycle:concept, design, pre-deployment, post-deployment, end of life.

  • Identifyand prioritize vulnerability remediationsfordevelopment teams while being able to explain the importance to stakeholders of widely varied security backgrounds.

  • Additionalresponsibilities may include:

  • Perform penetration testing and ethical hacking on Allegion products.

  • Approximately 15% travel may be expected.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years ofelectronicdeviceor firmwaredevelopment experience.

  • Demonstrated focus on application security / cybersecurity.

  • Experience working with Internet of Things devices.

  • Know how to go beyond generic security vulnerability remediation adviceand intoapplied cybersecurityconcepts.

  • Excellent interpersonal skillsrequiredto influence and partner with all levels across the enterprise on matters ofproduct development,software development and clouddeployment/operationsincluding risk mitigations.

  • High degree of learning agility required to quickly gain visibility across Allegion's global softwareand productportfolio.

  • Highly technical practitioner with working knowledge of delivering secure products and services globally using modern technologies.

  • College degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,SoftwareEngineering,Cybersecurity,or equivalent education/experiencerequired.Related industry certifications are preferred.

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expectedBase Salary Range: $123,550- $142,000. The actual compensation will bedeterminedbased on experience and other factorspermittedby law.
