KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sample Management
  • Manage samples for photography, ecommerce merchandising and visual teams
  • Receives, logs, tags and stores all incoming vendor and product samples; maintains an organized, clearly labeled sample room and sample library.
  • Maintains the sample tracking log and database, recording sample details, location and status so that any sample can be located quickly and accurately.
  • Manages sample check-out and return for Buyers, Product Merchandisers and the Visual Merchandising team, and follows up on outstanding samples.
  • Prepares and stages samples for photography, line reviews, seasonal presentations and marketing shoots, and coordinates the hand-off of samples and related assets.
  • Manages sample lifecycle and disposition, including vendor returns, archiving, sample sales or donations, and end-of-season purging.
  • Proactively identifies and implements improvements to sample organization, storage, labeling and tracking processes.

Mock Store and Visual Merchandising Support
  • Works directly with Visual Merchandisers to support projects, campaigns, section resets and other visual merchandising initiatives in the Mock Store.
  • Pulls, stages and returns product and samples needed for Mock Store sets, ensuring the correct samples are available on schedule.
  • Communicates and demonstrates company standards as they relate to visual merchandising practices and guidelines and the importance of Visual Merchandising to our selling efforts and service elements.

Product Merchandising & Buying Office Support
  • Provides administrative and data support to the Product Merchandising and Buying office, including item setup data entry, product specification and vendor information tracking, and report pulls.
  • Supports purchase order and vendor communication follow-up as directed by the Buying and Product Merchandising teams.
  • Maintains accurate and current product and sample information across shared trackers, files and systems, flagging discrepancies for resolution.
  • Prepares for line reviews, assortment reviews and seasonal product presentations by pulling, setting up and organizing product and samples.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of retail experience preferred
  • Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
  • Understanding of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while managing samples or working at a computer.
