Job description

Position Summary

The Product Development and R&D Coordinator provides hands-on support for the Product Marketing and Research & Development teams. This role is responsible for preparing product samples, organizing product testing, conducting research, maintaining product documentation, and supporting day-to-day execution of product development projects.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both physical products and administrative tasks, is highly organized, curious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help keep product development projects moving forward by supporting multiple functions across the team.


Responsibilities:

Product Sampling & Testing

  • Conduct sensory evaluations on finished products, raw materials, and benchtop formulations.
  • Prepare new product samples for evaluation, gather stakeholder feedback, and summarize findings.
  • Test raw material samples for sensory attributes and support efficacy testing.
  • Prepare and organize product samples for internal evaluations, leadership reviews, andpossible CMOmeetings.
  • Coordinate sample requests with manufacturers,flavorhouses, ingredient suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Receive, inventory, label, and organize incoming product samples.
  • Assistin coordinating product taste panels and collecting feedback.

Product Development & Research

  • Research emerging ingredients and evaluate opportunities for inclusion in the product portfolio.
  • Support innovative product development through research, benchtop experimentation, and collaboration with Marketing and R&D.
  • Assistwith benchtop sample preparation, including creating base formulas for vendors and flavor houses.
  • Work with flavor houses to develop and refine new flavor profiles in the R&D lab.
  • Support the department in conductingresearch on market trends, ingredients, competitive products, pricing, packaging, and consumer insights.

Project & Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update the raw material tracker and provide feedback to vendors.
  • Update product development trackers and document formulation revisions, testing results, and project milestones.
  • Communicate sample results and development feedback with suppliers, manufacturers, and flavor partners.
  • Maintain project documentation, trackers, and product development files.
  • Assistwith updating timelines and following up on outstanding action items.
  • Support new product launches through administrative coordination.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree infood science, or related field.
  • Experience inconsumer-packagedgoods (CPG), food, beverage, dietary supplements, or manufacturing.
  • Interest in nutrition, wellness, dietary supplements, or product innovation.
  • Experienceinadministrative, operations, product support, laboratory, or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
