With a strong reputation for customer service, technical expertise, and deep vendor partnerships, we support integrators, contractors, and dealers with the tools they need to succeed.

Position Overview

The Sales Representative is a key frontline role responsible for driving revenue growth within a branch. This position partners closely with customers security dealers, integrators, and installers to understand their project needs, recommend solutions, and generate profitable sales.

This individual is expected to lead business development efforts, manage existing accounts, prospect new business, and serve as a product/solutions expert across low-voltage security, fire, access control, video surveillance, networking, and related technologies.

The Sales Representative is a visible ambassador of the branch and plays a critical role in customer experience, supplier partnership, and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets for assigned accounts with monthly sales volume of $125,000.
  • Prospect, qualify, and convert new customer relationships for sustained branch growth.
  • Expand wallet share within existing accounts through solution selling and product recommendations.
  • Conduct outbound calling and follow-up activities to generate new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales plans aligned with branch priorities and market trends.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing expert product guidance and support.
  • Proactively understand customer project pipelines and stocking needs.
  • Deliver responsive communication, solutions support, and problem resolution.
  • Partner with branch manager and warehouse to ensure a seamless customer experience.


Product & Technical Expertise

  • Maintain working knowledge across low-voltage security, fire, access, video, and related product lines.
  • Provide product recommendations based on project specifications and application requirements.
  • Participate in vendor training, technology updates, and market education.
  • Support branch demonstrations, customer events, and supplier promotions.


Market & Supplier Engagement

  • Collaborate with branch vendors and manufacturer partners to drive joint opportunities.
  • Promote supplier programs, pricing incentives, and new product introductions.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market needs to inform sales strategy.


Reporting & Activity Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation of sales pipeline, key projects, and follow-ups.
  • Provide sales forecasts and territory updates to branch leadership.
  • Track performance against targets and KPI expectations.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years of B2B sales experience (distribution or product sales a plus).
  • Experience in low-voltage security, fire alarm, surveillance, access control, or similar technical industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect and close new business.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational discipline with ability to manage pipelines and follow-through.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to support branch teammates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within assigned territory.
