Job Title: Position: Maintenance Superintendent – Rendering, Wastewater & Grease Recovery
Location: Tolleson, AZ
Reporting to: Plant Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead our Rendering, Wastewater, and Hides operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment and systems are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional team management skills, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, problem solving and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the maintenance teams across Rendering, Wastewater Treatment, and Hides.
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs on mechanical, electrical, and wastewater systems.
Manage rebuilds, upgrades, and major projects, including contractor coordination
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and prepare for audits
Collaborate with production and environmental teams to meet operational goals
Qualifications:
5+ years of Rendering maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and wastewater systems.
Experience in rendering or similar high-load environments is highly preferred.
Understanding of environmental compliance and wastewater regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
