Requirements
Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Safe To The Core - our #1 Core Value. Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE (as required), perform BBS (Behavior Based Safety), proactively watch for and report hazards, participation in Stretch 'n Flex prior to each shift and promote a safety first culture
  • Work as part of a team to meet safety, production, and quality goals
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines (Timeliness and proper utilization of sick and vacation time)
  • Interact cooperatively and productively with supervisors, co-workers and other support staff and vendors
  • Willing to actively train new team members
  • Willing to cross train on new jobs, skills and perform other duties as assigned
  • Pre-shift checklists on equipment and surroundings
  • Clean-up and Maintain production equipment; including but not limited to: machine operation, and forklift operation
  • Lift, walk, stoop, stand, push / pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud, non-climate controlled environment
  • Read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks and monthly safety assessments
  • Document & keep record of shift or machine performance
  • Work any hours, to include a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed - see shifts stated below
  • Model company core values - Safe to the Core, Sawdust in the Veins, Driven to Win and Handshake Integrity

Preferred Qualifications (Not required):
  • Two (2) years or more of experience in a manufacturing, military, industrial, farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, or construction environment
  • Experience driving and operating a forklift
  • Experience working in wood products
  • High School diploma or GED

Shifts (for reference only)
Day/Swing (Rotation)
  • Days: Tuesday through Saturday 6:30am - 3:00pm (28 days)
  • Swing: Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm (28 days)

Night
  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10:30pm - 7:00am

Relief
  • Monday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday/Thursday 10:30pm - 7:00am, Saturday/Sunday 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Shifts are assigned based on the need of the mill at the time of orientation.
