Job description

Location: Remote (US-based, authorized to work in the U.S.)
Compensation: $20/hour
Commitment: Contract role, daily 6:00-7:30 PM PST (with occasional extension to 8:30 PM), including weekends
About Us
We're an agentic AI-powered commerce startup backed by top investors and led by proven founders with deep roots in consumer, retail, and marketplaces. Our mission is to redefine how people discover fashion and how brands move inventory smarter and faster. We're building from 0 โ†’ 1, and this is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of shopping while working alongside some of the top minds in machine learning and commerce.
The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Order Operations Intern to support our daily order placement and tracking workflow. You'll be responsible for ensuring that every customer order is placed accurately and on time through our CRM, while monitoring deliveries and keeping order statuses up to date. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where precision, consistency, and reliability are key.
What You'll Do
  • Place customer orders daily through our CRM - think of it like the full checkout process when shopping for yourself: once the product is in the cart, you move through checkout, enter the address and payment details, and complete the order until it's fully confirmed. The difference is you'll be doing this at scale, from 5 to 100+ orders each day.
  • Manage multiple orders at once and ensure every purchase is processed correctly and on time
  • Monitor deliveries, track shipments, and update order statuses in real time
  • Troubleshoot basic order issues (e.g., declined payments, incorrect addresses, delayed shipments) and escalate when needed
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across a large number of transactions
  • Collaborate with the CX and ops teams to refine processes and streamline workflows as the company scales
What We're Looking For
  • Fast learner with a high typing speed and excellent accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch small errors before they turn into bigger issues
  • Comfortable navigating new tools and processes in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Reliable and consistent - able to commit to daily evening hours, including weekends
  • Previous experience in operations, e-commerce, retail, or customer support is a plus (especially if you've worked with CRMs or order systems), but not required
Why Join Us
  • $20/hour contract role with consistent daily schedule (1.5-2.5 hours per evening)
  • Remote-friendly, U.S.-based opportunity
  • Unique chance to contribute meaningfully at the 0 โ†’ 1 stage of company building
  • Learn operational best practices and gain experience in the fast-paced world of e-commerce and retail tech
