Catalyst Product Manager

KBR is seeking a Catalyst Product Manager to oversee products from development through delivery, ensuring commercial success and compliance with client agreements. This role is responsible for leading proposal development, managing project execution, and supporting clients post-startup. The position also focuses on identifying growth opportunities to expand KBR's market share while maintaining alignment with internal procedures and client expectations.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with Catalyst PSL/Business Development teams to maximize the catalyst opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Responsible for the commercial aspects of all their catalyst technologies, including vendor selection, client communications, and proposal development.
  • Under broad direction, interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates catalyst projects for new catalyst developments and ongoing projects.
  • Maintains close relationship with catalyst manufacturers.
  • Utilizes structured project management tools to maintain project timelines to deliver catalysts on time.
  • Coordination of cross-functional teams including close interaction with Procurement, Engineering, and Business Development.
  • Lead technology sessions, presenting papers, building customer and partner relationships, and developing new/existing sales leads.
  • Support overall Catalyst product line growth strategy
  • Supplier identification and commercial qualification

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 7+ yrs CURRENT technical experience within the Catalyst industry is required.
  • Strong English verbal, writing and reading communication skills required
  • Must have the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and principles in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers and KBR management
  • Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international, as needed (expected 20-30%).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with managing projects, including project planning, coordinating, and executing projects while effectively managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders expectations, are strongly preferred.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience listed below will be a plus;
    • Experience in Chemical, syngas, Petrochemical or Refinery processes.
    • International business.
    • Supplier negotiations.
    • Fluency in Mandarin.
