Your Job
Molex Power and Signal Business Unit is looking for an enterprising Product Manager who is driven to create great customer experience and build long-term product growth. The ideal candidate is energized by working in partnership with engineering, operations and marketing to build a joint vision of success. This role will market and promote wire and cable application tooling products in alignment with the business unit mission, strategy and goals.

Established in 1938, Molex delivers comprehensive electronic solutions for various markets, including data c ommunications, telecommunicat ions, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace and defense, medical, and lighting. The Product Manager will support our Power and Signal Business Unit overseeing the application tooling line.
What You Will Do
  • Train and support the sales team and distribution partners to increase revenue and market share of assigned product line(s) and in support of Divisional objectives.
  • Oversee and facilitate new tooling development activity in support of associated interconnect product launches
  • Support customer technical requests as needed.
  • Engage marketing resources to create promotional tools, product collateral and sales tools to facilitate customer product awareness and adoption.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans targeting the key industries and geographies. Identify product line trends and technologies.
  • Identify product line trends and gaps. Develop and commercialize new offerings to enhance the Molex application tooling line
  • Support tooling and connector sales growth by setting product pricing, supporting key customer negotiations and approving pricing requests as needed.
  • Work with operations to forecast customer demand and in support of supply optimization. Support tactical operational and supply chain initiatives as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to establish and develop industry partner relationships.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 3+ years of experience in Business-to-Business product management, operations, engineering and/or sales
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal teams and external contacts, respond positively to situations and influence others
  • Track record of growing revenue and creating long term customer relationships
  • Ability to guide customers to the appropriate product solutions
  • Understand business metrics and data to monitor progress and make decisions
  • Self-motivated and organized to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload
  • Experience with effectively presenting to large groups
  • Willing and able to travel to customers and distributors (10-20%) to achieve business objectives. May include international travel as needed.

  • 5+ years of experience working in the electronics industry
  • Experience working with connector companies or cable harness manufacturers.
  • Experience working with automated and semi-automated cable manufacturing equipment

For this role, we anticipate paying $115,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
