Job Title: Product Manager, Edge AI amp; Video Solutions
Location(s): Tustin, CA - Onsite
Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
About this position:
Advantech is in search of an experienced Product Manager to oversee embedded computing products and customer-driven development projects across a broad range of industries and applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and technical support teams to define product requirements, manage customer projects, and drive successful product and business outcomes.
This position is well-suited for a customer-focused professional who can operate across organizational boundaries and translate market opportunities and customer needs into actionable product strategies. You will play a central role in managing custom embedded projects, supporting new product initiatives, and driving cross-functional collaboration across Advantech's embedded computing portfolio.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer-driven embedded computing projects from opportunity through production, including requirements gathering, proposal development, project coordination, and product lifecycle support.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and technical support teams to successfully manage standard and custom embedded product programs.
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements; define product specifications in alignment with market needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with customers and technology partners to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate embedded computing solutions.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to support product roadmap planning and business development activities.
  • Coordinate new product introductions (NPI), engineering change notifications (ECN), product updates, pricing, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Utilize ERP and product management tools, including SAP, to track product data, coordinate procurement activities, and support operational workflows.
  • Develop customer-facing presentations, product collateral, quotations, and RFQ/RFP responses.
  • Represent Advantech at customer visits, trade shows, and industry events; periodic travel is required.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in product management, project management, product engineering, or a customer-facing role within the embedded computing, electronics, or related technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with embedded computing concepts, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional program coordination.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and standard productivity and project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with embedded computing, industrial computing, or custom hardware solutions.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, New Product Introduction (NPI), or customer-driven product development.
  • Familiarity with embedded computing platforms, hardware architectures, or emerging edge computing technologies.
  • Experience supporting customers across diverse application markets, such as industrial automation, medical, robotics, machine vision, transportation, defense, video, semiconductor equipment, smart infrastructure, or other embedded computing applications.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
