Job description

We are seeking an account manager/project manager to join our team! You will manage current accounts and find new customers in Wichita and surrounding areas. Competitive pay and commissions, great benefits and a family focused company!


The Hydraulic Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, driving sales growth, and providing technical support for hydraulic products and solutions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their hydraulic system needs are met through consultative sales, product expertise, and exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
  • Assess customer requirements and recommend hydraulic components, systems, and solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and technical product recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to review performance, identify opportunities, and resolve issues.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements within company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports using CRM systems.
  • Support customers with troubleshooting, product selection, and technical inquiries related to hydraulic systems and equipment.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience, preferably within hydraulics, fluid power, industrial equipment, or related industries.
  • Experience working with hydraulic components, systems, pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, and power units is highly desirable.
