We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to bring our Private Cloud AI product to the next level. As a Senior Product Manager for PCAI, you will be at the forefront of building and integrating cutting‑edge AI and data infra technologies into our private cloud products. You will have a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions and work closely with GTM teams to bring the new generation of products to market. This role involves leading the strategy, development, execution, and evolution of data infra solutions for Private Cloud AI, HPE’s end‑to‑end AI solutions that enables data scientists and ML engineers to build and operate ML workflows at scale in an enterprise environment.

Management Level Definition

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainably. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross‑functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute a product strategy to unlock AI opportunities across the world’s largest organizations.
  • Independently lead and drive the end‑to‑end strategy and operational product roadmap for one or more complex products or a product portfolio.
  • Build and deliver the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive products to market for a product portfolio with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. product configuration mix, revenue/margins, financials, market share).
  • Synthesize market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen.
  • Guide key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.
  • Create and drive goal alignment and collaborate across one or more product’s value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of products per plans across the product lifecycle.
Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 12+ years of work experience in HPC or AI/ML platform infrastructure or related field.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the HPC or AI/ML tooling and infrastructure industry.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.
Knowledge and Skills
  • 12+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with a focus on HPC or AI/ML and data infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen across enterprise AI and data workflows. Expertise in HPC, AI and ML hardware, ecosystem, and software a plus.
  • Experience motivating others at all levels by creating a shared sense of vision and purpose.
  • Extensive team skills and ability to cross‑functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Have proven experience working in a technical environment with cross‑functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.
  • Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.
  • Experience working with partners and the ecosystem through the full product life cycle: inception, launch, and customer management.
  • Extensive skills in cost‑efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based on geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.

United States of America: Annual Salary USD 160,000 – 303,000 in Colorado // 172,000 – 328,000 in Massachusetts // 152,000 – 349,000 in Texas. The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
