Position Summary

A rapidly growing energy technology company is seeking a hands-on Product Manager with a strong background in power generation systems, gas turbine technology, and distributed energy solutions.

This role will lead the development, commercialization, and lifecycle management of advanced micro-turbine products and integrated system solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic yet execution-focused leader who can translate market needs into technical product requirements while working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and define the product roadmap for micro-turbine systems and distributed energy solutions
  • Translate customer requirements and market opportunities into detailed product specifications
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering teams to guide product development and system integration
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams
  • Support full product lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform product strategy and positioning
  • Partner with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and customer value propositions
  • Support pilot deployments, field validation, and customer feedback loops
  • Prioritize features and enhancements to improve system efficiency, reliability, and total cost of ownership

RequirementsQualifications

  • Experience in power generation, oil & gas, distributed energy, or industrial equipment environments
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems (turbines or rotating equipment preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage complex, hardware-based products through full lifecycle development
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth or manufacturing environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with micro-turbine or gas turbine technologies
  • Familiarity with alternative fuels (e.g., hydrogen, biogas, syngas)
  • Exposure to distributed energy systems, CHP, or grid-connected solutions
  • Experience supporting product commercialization or scaling new technologies
  • Familiarity with digital controls, monitoring systems, or industrial IoT platforms
