Job description

We bring clarity and confidence to vetting and hiring decisions through integrated, tailored solutions, driving a higher standard of accuracy in everything we do. Combining in-house talent, personalized services, and proprietary technology, we ensure the best candidate experience possible. PBSA accredited and based in Nashville, TN, we offer expertise from our regional centers across 200 countries and territories in The Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Our commitment to get it right every time, everywhere, makes us the trusted partner of businesses and organizations worldwide.

HireRight is looking for a motivated and curious Product Manager to join our product team in Nashville. In this individual contributor role, you will own a product area from strategy through execution, working closely with engineering, design, operations, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality solutions that make a real difference for our customers.

This is a great opportunity for a PM who is comfortable working across both existing product improvement and net-new product development, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Experience in background screening is not required, though familiarity with regulated industries or data-driven B2B products is a plus.

  • Define and own the product roadmap for your area, balancing near-term customer needs with longer-term strategic goals.
  • Write clear, well-reasoned product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineering teams to deliver with confidence.
  • Partner with engineering and design on discovery, solution design, and delivery, removing blockers and keeping work moving.
  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to uncover pain points, validate ideas, and gather feedback on shipped features.
  • Analyze product usage, operational data, and market signals to identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize accordingly.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer success to ensure smooth launches and ongoing product adoption.
  • Track key product metrics and report out on progress, learnings, and next steps to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to a strong product culture by sharing insights, participating in team rituals, and helping raise the bar on how we work.

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of a product or feature area end-to-end.
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured solutions, with a track record of shipping meaningful product improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to align stakeholders and articulate trade-offs clearly.
  • Comfort working with data to inform decisions — you don’t need to be a data scientist, but you know how to ask the right questions and interpret the answers.
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile environments alongside engineering and design.
  • A customer-first mindset: you regularly seek out user feedback and let it shape your thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, data products, or regulated industries (HR tech, fintech, legal tech, compliance, etc.).
  • Familiarity with background screening, employment verification, or related HR/people operations workflows.
  • Exposure to API-driven products or platform-level thinking.
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Amplitude, Tableau, SQL) to self-serve on product questions.
  • Comfort operating in a maturing product organization where process is still being built.

In exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Paid Life/AD&D Insurance
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Short & Long Term Disability
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • 401K
  • Generous Paid Time Off Program
  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • Education Assistance Program
  • Generous Referral Program
  • Employee Discounts and Rewards
  • And much more!

*All resumes are held in confidence. Only candidates whose profiles closely match requirements will be contacted during this search.
