Key responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of EW and sensing capabilities.

  • Engage with customers and end users to understand needs, translate insights into product requirements, and support customer engagements.

  • Drive the development and deployment of scalable, reusable EW and sensing products across platforms and analytics layers.

Job description

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, is reshaping mesh network technology for mission-critical applications - on the ground, in the air and at sea. Its battle-proven StreamCaster family of MANET radios and proprietary MN-MIMO waveform provides the vital communications link for defense, law enforcement and public safety agencies around the world, and in the toughest operational environments.
Silvus Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, Inc.
Would you like to join an incredibly talented group of people, doing very challenging work, with the prime directive of "Keeping Our Heroes Connected"?
THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus Technologies is seeking a Principal Product Line Manager who will report to the Vice President of Product on the Product team. The successful individual in this role will lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of capabilities supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) and RF sensing applications.
This position is based at Silvus Technologies' headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial technologist who enjoys interacting with customers, has a healthy sense of adventure, and enjoys traveling.
This role will define how Silvus' product portfolio evolves to provide:
  • Electronic Support (ES), Electronic Attack (EA), and Electronic Protection (EP).
  • Distributed sensing modalities.
  • GPS denied positioning.
  • Counter UAS effects.
  • Sensor-enabled radios and standalone sensing systems.

The role serves as the capability owner for EW and Sensing, translating mission needs into scalable product capabilities and guiding investment decisions across both communications and sensing domains.
This position sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Business Development, ensuring Silvus delivers differentiated, productized capabilities into rapidly evolving EW and sensing ecosystems.
As Principal Product Line Manager, this position owns the success of our tactical EW sensor product line. This position will:
  • Drive the product from current prototype stage to a scalable, sellable, operationally viable product.
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis to refine product/market fit.
  • Engage directly with end users and customers to uncover pain points and use cases.
  • Translate user insights into actionable product requirements and drive development priorities.
  • Evangelize the product with stakeholders, including military end users, integrators, and prime contractors.
  • Own the product roadmap and collaborate with engineering, business development, and leadership to align priorities.
  • Support and drive pilot programs, field tests, and customer engagements.
  • Ultimately be responsible for the market and mission success of the product.
  • The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Capability Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for EW and sensing capabilities.
  • Define how sensing and communications capabilities evolve both independently and as an integrated platform.
  • Develop a multi-year roadmap spanning:

    • Standalone sensing products.
    • Software-defined sensing and analytics.
  • Align capability development with long-term platform architecture.

    • CEMA.
    • JADC2.
    • Multi-domain operations.
    • Engage with government customers, primes, and integrators to understand evolving needs.

Productization & Platform Discipline

  • Define how capabilities are deployed across:
    • Existing radio platforms.
    • New hardware products.
    • Software and analytics layers.
    • Balance customer-driven requirements with long-term platform strategy.

  • Manage lifecycle from concept through deployment and sustainment.
