The Product Manager - Electronic Sensors is part of the Electronic Division. The mission of the Electronic Division is to assist our customers' implementation of advanced electronic architecture on their machines by utilizing innovative and reliable HYDAC electronic sensors including pressure, temperature, inclination, angle, linear position, fluid level, radar, and more, optimized for mobile and industrial machine markets.


You will make an impact in this role by:

  • Developing and promoting Electronic Division product/solution strategy with key business partners.
  • Identifying and developing strategic target accounts.
  • Developing marketing content around our sensors and controls solutions.
  • Representing HYDAC with customers and accompanying Sales Managers to customer locations selling our technology and advanced systems.
  • Technical sales activities for all Electronic Division sensors products and solutions.
  • Technical selection of products based on customer requirements/RFQ's.
  • Generating proposals to customers.
  • Collaborating globally with other HYDAC electronics and controls teams on product and market strategies and their tactical implementation.
  • Providing Voice of Customer (VoC) to our development groups for new product developments.
  • Provide support and training to application engineering and field sales (HYDAC and Distributor salespeople).
  • Handle quotations and price strategies and prepare price lists.
  • Recommend and monitor stock levels.
  • Develop and update product literature and new product publicity.
  • Coordinate trade shows.
  • Prepare and present product presentations, reports and plans.
  • Manage product and customer-related projects.


Key skills and attributes include:

  • 3-5 years related industry experience preferred.
  • Self-Starter and Motivator.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to develop effective relationships with HYDAC salespeople, distributors and customers.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.
  • Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel up to 40% (primarily domestic and some international).

Requirements


To be considered for the Product Manager - Electronic Sensors, the following minimum qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred). Will consider associate degree plus relevant experience.
  • 5 years overall experience preferred (Off-highway, Automotive or Industrial Automation preferred).
  • Experience with sales and application of electronic sensors.
  • Hardware knowledge is desired, especially in the area of ??sensor functionality and applications.
