The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Owner to join our software engineering team. As a Product Owner, you will lead the participate in the planning and execution of your Agile Scrum team. You will collaborate closely with engineering leadership and government stakeholders to define product scope, set priority, and manage successful software releases that meet our customers’ objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the product backlog, including creating, refining, and prioritizing user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure the engineering team delivers maximum value.
  • Act as the primary liaison between government stakeholders and the Scrum team to define the product vision and operational requirements.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, to provide clear direction on features and iteration goals.
  • Collaborate continuously with the Scrum Master and development team to manage scope creep, team velocity, and ensure delivered increments meet the Definition of Done and user expectations.
  • Assist team members in identifying process improvements, reducing technical debt, and maintaining a collaborative work environment aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong communicating skills while engaging in frequent client interfacing.
  • Assist team members in cost reduction, knowledge capital and work product/service test activities, as well as assisting in identifying issues and providing status of scope of work while understanding role and responsibilities of self and team and how they contribute to business objectives.
  • Contribute to maintaining a collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
  • Possess proven experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Requirements Manager in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to translate complex government or operational workflows into clear, actionable technical user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Exhibit excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet the customer's deliverable dates and ensure mission-critical business needs are met.
  • Have familiarity with Agile lifecycle management and backlog tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preform analysis and projects to improve overall quality of work products and process
  • Hold a SAFe PM/PO, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting software demonstrations and interfacing with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to maximize team efficiency by effectively managing workload, scope prioritization, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Have familiarity with standard collaboration and documentation products such as Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300-$189,600
