Job description

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, who is responsible for their product category business, including strategy, P&L, roadmap, and pricing. This person works closely with engineering, operations, strategic sourcing, channel management and marketing to define, develop, implement and maintain the value proposition around the product line, incorporating product lifecycle management and marketing requirements to meet customer expectations. This person will conduct VOC and market research to build a strategic roadmap that will ensure product relevance, innovative advancements and meet revenue goals. They will work with research and development (internal or external teams) to define, build and launch new products.
  • Owns and manages product category strategy and P&L to achieve established revenue, margin and profit goals
  • Owns product lifecycle strategy for product offering
  • Develops and implements new product roadmap based on voice of customer and market research
  • Develops and executes pricing strategy for both list and off-book pricing
  • Maintains market position of products through competitive review
  • Develops a comprehensive knowledge base of major market segments, the competitive environment, and key competitors that drives action for Sales, Marketing, and R&D.
  • Works with Engineering, Operations and Strategic Sourcing to identify and execute cost out initiatives to maintain market competitiveness
  • Partners with Marketing Communications on marketing materials, press releases and launch plans consistent with established value proposition
  • Develops and implements marketing and sales strategies for specific product groups
  • Collaborates with channel management to drive product positioning and sales for target markets
  • Responsible for training both internal and external partners on product line to drive growth
  • Measures success by organic growth, increasing gross margins and operating income, and a strong pipeline of new products
  • Partners with R&D to drive development of product and platform extensions.
