  • Where it fits: Vendor Product Manager support for Microsoft US Payroll Transformation — owning the US Payroll and US Time backlogs and related transformation initiatives across the payroll ecosystem. The PMs act as the primary operational point supporting Microsoft Product Managers, Engineering, Payroll Operations, and external payroll providers to drive timely product enhancements, issue resolution, and strategic transformation from concept through deployment.

Objectives:

  • Own and prioritize the end-to-end US Payroll/Time product backlog, with clear business value, acceptance criteria, and dependencies
  • Drive program and delivery management — sprint planning, feature readiness reviews, UAT, and release planning
  • Clarify requirements and translate business needs into actionable ADO features and user stories
  • Coordinate vendors and stakeholders across EE, People Operations, and Payroll Operations
  • Maintain governance, reporting, and communications (RAID logs, decision logs, executive status; SteerCos, MBRs, QBRs)
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and change across the payroll ecosystem
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement — process streamlining, automation, and technical-debt reduction

Resource profile we're looking for:

  • Two Vendor Product Managers with 3+ years of Program Management, Product Management, or Payroll Transformation experience, and strong program-management discipline plus payroll domain expertise. Hands-on experience with enterprise payroll platforms (ADP, EY Digipay, SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors Employee Central, Workday, or similar) is required, along with proven Agile delivery, Azure DevOps (ADO), backlog management, and sprint execution. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: US payroll operations and compliance, HRIS / Time & Attendance / Benefits / payroll integrations, HR transformation and large-scale platform migrations, and multinational payroll program experience.
