What is Product Education?

Product Education refers to the process of teaching customers, employees, or partners how to effectively use and understand a company's products or services. This can include developing training materials, conducting workshops, creating tutorials, and offering ongoing support to ensure users can maximize the product's value. Product education professionals bridge the gap between product development and end users, helping to increase customer satisfaction and reduce support issues. Their work is essential for onboarding, user adoption, and long-term engagement with the product.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Product Education, and why are they important?

To thrive in Product Education, you need expertise in instructional design, a solid understanding of the product, and experience in developing training materials, often supported by a background in education or relevant certifications. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools like Articulate or Captivate, and analytics platforms is typically required. Strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to simplify complex topics help individuals stand out in this role.
