Job Title: Business Development Manager, Pharma

As the name behind some of the world’s most successful brands, we are developing innovative and sustainable ingredients that provide vital functionality to industrial chemical business.

As we continue to grow in South Korea, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our organization to drive the Pharma business.

Reporting into the Head Business Development Manager, Asia, you will be responsible for driving new business and revenue growth in the South Korea by identifying, developing and converting strategic commercial opportunities for Croda’s innovative technologies. This role will be working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Technical colleagues to build high-value relationships with key customers. The individual will maintain a strong understanding of market insights and trends and to drive both short-term and long-term profitability in key technology areas aligned with Croda’s growth strategy.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in pharma related background or scientific. PhD will be advantage
  • Minimum 7 years of sales and business development experience in relevant industry
  • Understanding about Lipid excipients or vaccine adjuvants is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of the Korean Pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical market, ideally with existing knowledge of key players and relevant contacts High level of resilience and perseverance to consistently lead and deliver new business development activities in highly competitive markets
  • Strong understanding of bioprocessing and pharmaceutical development, including technical and regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent level of strategic thinking coupled with astute understanding of market trends and dynamics. Able to generate new, innovative ideas and approaches to complex commercial project
  • Strong technical expertise in Croda’s products and technologies, enabling effective integration of new innovations into customer product development pipelines whilst delivering new business opportunities with clear commercial value, often in complex product formulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and influencing skills with the ability network effectively both internally and externally
  • High level of curiosity to constantly learn new information, generate innovative solutions and demonstrate systematic thinking
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to partner effectively with customers. Clear understanding of pricing models and strategic selling
  • Good communication / influence skills to deal with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate desire to learn and grow
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication in English as well Korean, Japnese will be advantage

  • Public Facing: Represent Croda at regional trade shows, conferences, and industry associations. Be recognised as a thought leader.
  • Structure & Cadence: Drive accountability and deliver through regular updates on key account progress, new business wins, and market developments whilst highlighting issues impacting success. Contribute to quarterly reporting on new product development and strategic initiatives.
  • Accountability: Manage the internal network within the regional pharma ingredients business. Agree appropriate KPIs and reporting cadence and establish regular review meetings to assess performance of distribution.

Additional Information

This position will base in Bundang‑gu, Seongnam‑si, Gyeonggi‑do. Willingness to travel extensively across the country to meet with clients and attend industry events.
