Job description

As Product Owner,project management, you will represent the voice of the client in projects and be responsible for the member/client experience. You will consistently prepare a range of products and services to ensure a positive member/client experience. You will work in close collaboration with the project developer and business analyst to ensure the solution meets user needs and that the project's expected benefits are delivered. You will manage relationships with the project's various stakeholders. Your ability to engage others will therefore be an essential skill. You will lead and influence your squads' specialists and the various stakeholders as part of planning, feasibility and development projects that involve strategic, complex, highly innovative interventions involving multiple sectors. In this regard, you will contribute to developing and recommending strategic orientations and business positioning. You will make recommendations on the development and delivery of files and projects involving a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity that have a major impact on the business sector's orientations. These tasks will require analysis and an overall, in-depth understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination will be critical. You will be called upon to interact with a very large number of stakeholders who are active in a variety of fields of expertise. You will serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Establish product backlog for projects, mandates and development activities specific to your field of expertise and squads, the scope and impact of which are significant for the business and for Desjardins Group as a whole
  • Advise and assist clients and partners with positioning, planning, development, performance and follow-up of various strategic mandates under your responsibility
  • Oversee the development and updating of policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit's strategic projects and mandates
  • Identify and analyze problems, raise any major issues, develop diagnostics and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned regarding business solutions and key market-development strategies and tactics
  • Coach other product owners
  • Represent your unit in dealings with senior management committees and decision-making bodies
  • Represent Desjardins when negotiating and committing to agreements with partners and external organizations

What you bring to the table
