Job description

Uses vibe coding and AI-assisted prototyping as core parts of the design workflow.

About the Role

RADICL Defense is hiring a Product Designer to simplify complex, alert-heavy cybersecurity interfaces for small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. The role focuses on end-to-end product design, rapid AI-assisted prototyping, and contributing to a design system while partnering closely with product and engineering.

Job Description Role

RADICL Defense is seeking a Product Designer to design interfaces and workflows that make complex, alert-heavy cybersecurity products understandable and actionable for SMBs in the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. The role involves taking ambiguous problems to shipped solutions, contributing to the design system, and working closely with product and engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Product Designer, engineers, and product management to turn concepts into shipped features.
  • Prototype quickly using AI-assisted tools and “vibe coding” approaches to create interactive prototypes.
  • Balance tactical UX/UI fixes on the live product with contributions to a growing design system.
  • Own projects end-to-end from research and wireframes through polished, shipped outcomes.
  • Lean on AI tools as a core part of the design process and help shape design decisions as the team scales.
Requirements Must-haves
  • 2–4 years of product design experience with a portfolio showing end-to-end process.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma (including FigJam and Make) for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
  • Solid UX fundamentals: information architecture, interaction design, usability heuristics, and user flows.
  • Experience designing sophisticated B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, compliance, multi-tenancy, or other data-dense products.
  • Hands-on experience designing UX for AI agentic workflows.
  • Experience contributing to and designing within a design system.
  • Ability to move from ambiguous problems to working prototypes and ship features collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort defending design decisions.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make) as part of the design process.
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience conducting or synthesizing user research and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) or designing for regulated, compliance-heavy industries.
  • Startup experience.
Workplace & Location
  • Hybrid work model: in-office M/W/Th in downtown Boulder, Colorado; work-from-home on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Periodic travel to Boulder may be expected for remote employees.
  • Company-provided employee parking.
Compensation
  • Pay range: 110,000 - 135,000 USD per year (Boulder, CO).
