To thrive as a Product Design Intern, you need a solid understanding of design principles, proficiency in visual communication, and enrollment in or completion of a relevant degree such as graphic design or industrial design. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping software is typically required.
