  • Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including part, assembly, and tooling drawings

  • Author clear work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and design specifications for test fixtures and validation tools

  • Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and process formal Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and commercial quotations for new products and design changes

  • Support the Production Manager and Manufacturing Engineers with technical needs to ensure efficient and repeatable manufacturing processes

  • Interface with the Engineering Manager to support customer requirements and contribute to business development and technical sales activities

  • Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability

  • Conduct engineering analysis and qualification testing to identify weaknesses, failures, and improvement opportunities in prototypes and production products

  • Utilize strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills in both lab and production environments

Mechanical Design Engineer Reporting Relationships:

About You:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Hold a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for electronic products

  • Demonstrate strong functional experience with cable assemblies, connectors, and electromechanical products

  • Maintain high proficiency with 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred

  • Display strong knowledge of mechanical drawings and formal design documentation standards

  • Exhibit familiarity with common manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and assembly

  • Maintain experience working in a regulated environment, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, or similar quality systems

  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge of test and validation methods for mechanical and electromechanical systems

  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration
