Position Summary
Apply RF and antenna theory to real-world product development, testing, and optimization. Will work closely with senior engineers on projects that span various applications, including industrial automation, defense, mining and others.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the design, simulation, and testing of antennas and RF components (Examples: patch, dipole, and array antennas).
• Perform basic electromagnetic simulations using tools such as HFSS under supervision.
• Conduct measurements in the RF lab (Examples: return loss, VSWR, impedance, and radiation pattern).
• Support prototype assembly, test setups, and data collection.
• Prepare test reports, documentation, and presentations for internal reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support antenna integration and troubleshooting.
• Learn and apply best practices in antenna design, tuning, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability needed to successfully perform the job.
• Basic understanding of RF and antenna fundamentals (impedance, gain, bandwidth, VSWR).
• Familiarity with EM simulation design tools, HFSS preferred.
• Exposure to lab test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, power meter, Anechoic Chambers).
• Familiarity with CAD software, Fusion 360 preferred.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, teamwork & good communication skills.
Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or project work in RF/antenna design preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of soldering experience required.
• Fluency in written and spoken English required.
