Responsible for product development of industry leading commercial and residential exhaust systems.  Utilize SolidWorks CAD Models to create differentiated exhaust solutions that deliver superior technical performance, together with ease of install and overall financial value.  Support manufacturing operations, marketing, sales and finance to drive successful project outcomes. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, improve & implement new products based on sales / marketing requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Ability to successfully interact across departments and functions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to jump in and learn product specifics, end user requirements, question the status quo and drive positive action.
  • Hands on evaluation of product for fit, form & function.
  • Assemble product for QA and demonstration purposes.
  • Generate SolidWorks models/drawings/blocks/renderings as needed for customers, production, applications, & marketing departments Advanced usage of PDM Server tools to integrate Product developments into Microsoft NAV (Dynamics) ERP system.
  • Coordination with finance, purchasing & production to ensure data is harmonized with company ERP system (NAV).
  • Formalize and coordinate engineering change request process.
  • Review justification, Coordinate changes with all departments.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer needs.
  • Established Value Engineering (VAVE) program to reduce product design costs.
  • Coordinate certification testing. Review test standards, Prepare designs, procure materials, collect & analyze data, prepare reports.


 Job Qualifications


  • Degreed Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
  • High level of SolidWorks & PDM experience.
  • Must have demonstrated history of success with Internal Motivation.
  • Outgoing, energetic, demonstrated ability to make things happen!
  • Experience with HVAC industry and sheet metal desirable Excellent problem resolution and analytical skills.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.
