SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and maintaining accurate production and work order data to support manufacturing operations. This position ensures the timely processing of production orders, labor reporting, inventory transactions, and manufacturing documentation while supporting efficient workflow throughout the organization. This role works closely with production supervisors, department managers, planners, and other functional teams to ensure the accuracy of production data and the effective execution of manufacturing schedules.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Process, review, and maintain production orders, work orders, employee labor transactions, and related manufacturing data.
  • Monitor and track the status of production orders to ensure timely completion and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain production logs, routing sheets, and manufacturing records.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of work order information, labor reporting, and production transactions.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors, department managers, and team leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy.
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems and electronic records for production, inventory, and operational documentation.
  • Support manufacturing planning and scheduling activities by providing timely production status updates.
  • Assist in tracking inventory movement, material consumption, and order progress as required.
  • Enter and maintain data within ERP, MRP, production control, and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Investigate and correct production order, labor reporting, and costing discrepancies.
  • Monitor compliance with established procedures and company policies regarding production documentation.
  • Serve as backup support for other administrative and production control functions when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve production reporting accuracy, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
