We are the growing leader in the furniture delivery industry. With multiple locations throughout the

Our mission is to ensure memories are delivered one piece of furniture at a time, on time, every time.
We are looking for individuals experienced in logistics and transportation to add to our team who will
contribute to achieving our mission.
The Houston Location is a full Distribution Center, with multiple business segments; currently Final Mile
(FM), Line Haul (LH) and 3rd Party Logistics (3PL). Warehouse Managers may be assigned to specific
business segments. However, based on business needs and at the discretion of the Functional Vice
President, Warehouse Managers may be rotated through or assigned to other business segments. This
practice will be beneficial to the Warehouse Managers, as well as the business units by driving a deeper
understanding of the overall Distribution Center operations while creating synergies among
departments.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically manage assigned area of responsibility in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Managerial responsibility for all warehouse and any office staff, within an assigned area or business
    segment in the Houston, TX Distribution Center.
  • >This likely includes multiple shifts, over a 7-day period (Sunday through Saturday)
  • Respond to customer emails and requests in a timely and professional manner as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, scan accuracy, and other system specific
    requirements within the assigned area of operation for all customers
  • Directly responsible for all employment decisions within assigned area of responsibility at the
    Houston, TX location
  • Ensure operation is staffed accordingly to maximize productivity, minimize overtime and meet
    Customer SLAs (Service Level Agreements) or other Customer requirements, of assigned area or
    business segment in the Houston, TX Distribution Center
  • >Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees;
    following up on work results.
  • Evaluate current staff for operational effectiveness on both warehouse and office staff
  • Ensure the consistent execution of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the Houston,
    TX Distribution operation of assigned area or business segment in the Houston, TX Distribution
    Center
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly, specific to the assigned area or business segment in the
    Houston, TX Distribution Center; Measure KPI and Labor utilization
  • Direct workforce to ensure compliance to established processes & policies
  • Identify and execute Lean opportunities to effectively eliminate waste, and drive efficiencies
  • Set and maintain productivity expectations
  • Identify and drive Safety improvements across the Houston, TX Distribution Center
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Any other responsibilities deemed necessary for the assigned area or business segment in the Houston, TX
    Distribution Center
Requirements
  • College degree preferred
  • Previous 3-5 years Warehouse Manager experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (i.e. excel)
  • Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good leadership skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
