Position Summary...The Produce Department Manager at Walmart leads produce associates and oversees department processes to ensure high customer service and meet production targets. Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, maintaining sales floor presentation, recruiting and training staff, engaging with customers, managing inventory and merchandising programs, handling claims and returns, and completing necessary paperwork related to inventory and sales.What you'll do...

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Receiving and Inventory Documentation
Receives merchandise, operates equipment safely and appropriately, monitors equipment for repair needs, and completes required paperwork, logs, and documentation accurately.
Merchandising and Sales Floor Presentation
Maintains strong sales floor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or expired products, setting up and maintaining displays, and ensuring accurate signing and pricing.
Associate Leadership and Development
Participates in the recruitment, selection, training, and development of Produce Associates to support department performance and engagement.
Customer Service and Sales Support
Leads by example by greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with product selection, locating merchandise, and promoting products and services to support purchase decisions.
Produce Store Within a Store (SWAS) Operations
Completes all aspects of Produce SWAS planning, participates in SWAS meetings, reviews reports related to food products, orders, and sales, and ensures appropriate inventory levels by executing merchandising and replenishment programs.
Claims, Shrink, and Safety Compliance
Ensures proper handling of claims and returns, secures merchandise, identifies high-shrink items, and maintains a safe work environment in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Reporting and Administrative Support
Completes and maintains required documentation, including inventory tracking reports, throwaway records, invoices, and assignment notes.
