Material Planner Analyst

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Material Planner Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Lead cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory
  • Develops and maintains operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand
  • Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
  • Publishes and presents service and inventory metrics and results
  • Identifies and leads projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with management
  • Works closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Works closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times. Manages the Sales and Operation Planning process
  • Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets
  • Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as PMCS, Peoplesoft, and Factory Planner
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and two (2) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.

OR
  • High School diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eight (8) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.

Work location: On-site Springfield, MO Plant
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation: May be authorized
