This position is open in any of our brick and mortar office locations. This position will work a hybrid schedule, initially starting at 3-5 days per week in office, with the potential to move to remote work after 6 months based on work proficiency.

The Procurement Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring the completion of complex procurement functions and asset management process involving the exercise of a greater degree of independent judgment and analysis in support of acquisitions made by the administrative departments as assigned by department management within the Firm, as well as purchases for clients as requested by attorneys. Essential functions include:

  • Ensure compliance with Firm policies and procedures, and/or monitoring sourcing processes.
  • Compiles data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analyzing spend/usage.
  • Research and analyze new products, market conditions, and trends which may affect pricing and availability of products and services.
  • Responsible for developing appropriate product/service specifications with the help of a business area and procurement management to accurately explain business needs to suppliers.
  • Initiates or supports sourcing processes by obtaining competitive costs from suppliers through the development, release, and receipt of Requests for Quotations, Request for Proposals, or Request for Information (RFx).
  • Completes assessments of supplier capabilities, and creates complex analyses on comparative costs, features, and terms submitted by suppliers in the RFx process.
  • Develop and present recommendations to the Senior Manager of Procurement and/or business area management, for source selection.
  • Negotiates costs, delivery schedules, and terms, including at times working with staff attorneys, along with Senior Manager of Procurement, to establish contracts with suppliers.
  • Generate purchase orders (PO's) through requisitions and manage full lifecycle of each PO.
  • Monitors delivery status, expediting shipments as required, and supplier performance issues, including completing related telephone and written/electronic correspondence.
  • Direct information to applicable Procurement staff to support administration of all acquisition contracts within the various phases of the contract process.
  • Monitor project task reporting to support software licensing & hardware maintenance management processes within the responsibility of the Procurement group, including renewal processing.
  • Performs other duties or projects as requested.

POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
  • Trade training preferred; 5-7 years’ experience in related field required, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven expertise in negotiating contracts, conducting detailed analysis, reviewing and drafting contract language, and achieving cost savings through strategic sourcing and process optimization.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and support to both internal and external stakeholders, including high-level executives and attorneys.
  • Documented success in managing projects from inception to completion, effectively prioritizing multiple urgent requests, and maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to process adherence, due diligence, accuracy, and the ability to create comprehensive documentation to support organizational knowledge and compliance.
  • Technologically adept, with proficiency in procurement software (particularly Coupa), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to quickly learn and leverage new digital tools and AI to drive process efficiency and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate operational risk and fraud, integrate technology platforms to improve KPI tracking and contract management, and implement solutions to streamline general procurement processes and reduce organizational risk.
  • Success in this role will be measured by negotiated cost savings, project execution, supplier performance, and consistently maintaining clear, accurate records to validate work results.
  • CPSM or similar procurement certification preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $70,000 - $142,000
  • State of Colorado: $64,000 - $114,000
  • State of Illinois: $63,000 - $122,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $70,000 - $133,000
  • State of Minnesota: $70,000 - $115,000
  • Washington, D.C.: $90,000 - $132,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
